*Wandering down the street, whistling cheerfully and looking forwards to spending some relaxing quality time with George at a Muggle pub. He pulls open the door of the Elephant and Wheelbarrow and steps into the dark smoky room. He stands in the doorway for a few minutes letting his eyes adjust and has the disconcerting feeling he's just travelled somewhere by Portkey, without his knowledge. Fred's eyes adjust and he blinks a couple of times in surprise - either the E&W have renovated since he stopped in here last night or it's an entirely different pub* Current Mood: confused

One small tear rolls down her cheek, but no one will notice her.

*nose in the latest Quibbler
as she heads into the Three Broomsticks, reading an article, completely lost in it and not paying attention to her surroundings*Death Eater Attacks All Across London!!
The Ministry is in an uproar, says insider. Death Eaters, sometimes known as supporters of You-Know-Who, have been attacking Muggle shops, banks and gathering places for the past month, in seemingly no particular pattern.
"It has got to be a ploy to divert our attention," says Mad Eye Moody, Auror and Death Eater expert, "Volde----'s up to something. He knows what he's doing. These are no random attacks."
Others report that the attacks have nothing to do with You-Know-Who's return. "Don't be ridiculous," says Percy Weasley, son of Arthur Weasley, of Muggle Relations. "They're not lobbying support--they're just trying to catch our attention before we forget about them forever. You-Know-Who hasn't returned."
There's more speculation than meets the eye behind these reports. Are the attacks being caused by loyal followers of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named? Or is this a scare tactic? Used by the Death Eaters to remain in the public eye?
Has Lord Volde---- returned?
*glances up and looks around, realizing she's stepped into a different pub by mistake*
*heads into the pub*
*having been here once before and liked that she doesn't know anyone, orders a beer from the barkeep and glances around, leaning back against the bar on her stool, keeps an eye on a blonde guy across the room, smirks and raises an eyebrow at him when he catches her eye, then turns back to the bartender and takes a sip of her beer*

*Heading to the Bronze - it's been a little too quiet around Sunnydale lately, and this is the place to go for any tip-offs. He steps around the people crowding the entrance, and pushes the door open. As he walks through, he feels an almost imperceptible twisting of reality - he's not where he expected to be.
He looks around the pub, trying to get his bearings, instantly on guard. Realising that there's no real danger here - but that there's a really, really weird mix of patrons - he makes his way to the bar.
"What can I get you, then?"
He looks up at the guy who just spoke. A mysterious, knowing smile is breaking across his craggy face, and he's cleaning out a glass with a rag.
"Just some information. What's this place?"
"Welcome to Joe's. I'm Joe. You don't need to know anything other than that."
"...you know, I think I just might want to. What's the deal here?"
The bartender just smiles, places a shot glass on the bar in front of him, fills it from a dark brown bottle, and walks away chuckling to himself.
The vampire picks up the glass, looks at it carefully, then knocks the liquor back. This could be a long night... Current Mood: contemplative

*I walk into the bar, trying to hide my face with my hair. Its early ona sunday to be going into the bar, but I dont care, I need a break, and a drink. Being a 7th year that looks older than one, I order without any question. I skan the room fervently, hoping there will be someone here, anyone. Then hoping that no one will be here to bother me. That what the bar is to me..a place to be alone and ignored.*

*slumps in the corner*
Thinking to myself:
I wonder how many other dimensions lead away from this place? I wonder if one of them wouldn't mind an extra Ginny. I wonder if any of them has Harry and Draco, getting along...kissing...I want to go home, home to the Burrow. Home to my family. School's only just started and already I can't stand it. I remember how badly I wanted to go to Hogwarts during Ron's first year. I was the only kid in the house, missing out on all the excitment. Of course I got my fair share of excitment in my first year. But Harry and my brothers were always there for me...now I feel like I'm on my own.
*lies down along the bench and just watches everyone pass me by while the world...and many different worlds, continue* Current Mood: depressed

*heads into the pub, looking for a quiet place to read, thankful to have some time away from the school, glances around and realizes she's been yanked into "Joe's"... something that happened to her once before at a Hogsmeade visit, so she's not all that freaked out... she wanders over to a table and sits down, pulling out her book to wait until the waiter comes over*
Severus Snape wandered into the odd establishment. He'd heard Lucius talking about it, and he had some time to kill, and was badly in need of a drink. He looked around curiously and stepped up to the bar.
"Scotch, please." Current Mood: anxious

Katie Bell sat in The Three Broomsticks with her two best friends, Angel and Alicia. She was feeling glad that she had gotten Ginny to babysit Stephanie for the night. As much as she loved her daughter, she needed this well deserved night off. Katie excused herself from her friends to go to the ladies room. She walked into her stall, used it and when she walked back out everything looked .. rather odd. Quite odd. The walls were no longer the drab white of the Three Broomsticks restrooms, but where now a peeling gray. There was garbage on the once pristine floor. Katie looked around in alarm, washed her hands and walked out into Joes. Feeling totally disoriented and searching for her friends, thinking they must have played a trick on her, she walked around the room. She recognized no one. Perhaps she was dreaming, she pinched herself. No. This was really happening to her. She was so worried and disoriented that she jumped when someone tapped her on the shoulder. Current Mood: listless
